    Hi all
I am not able to give you a model number for this large enamelled cast iron stove. It does not appear on the catalogs in my possession.
But the construction and the fact that it has a preheater makes me think of the 30s.
It's a gas stove. The tank is three liters. We are approaching 11 kilos with full of gas. Hard to think of taking him to the campsite ;-)

Interesting model, Michel. Specially the controls 90 degrees from what is normal.
And the burners feed from the center where the pressure meter is fitted.
The pump position is odd too, have only seen it on Succes stoves before.
Great item like many if these cast iron stoves.

The enameled cast iron screams 1930's, especially that color.

What a lovely stove. Where did you find this stove.

    Cheers,

Can I check, does it run on gas, as in butane propane etc or gas as in liquid gasoline?

    @Colin Geer

    In this context, gasoline.

    Tony

    Edit: “Essence” in French.

'Essence' petrol. Generator runs across fhe burner as far as I can tell.

With all.the toys and control arrangements would push the dating far later.

Cast frame as nice as it is doesn't sit well with the the other bits for the time frame.

50's possibly and beyond? Nothing looks right for earlier for me.

Happy for shooting down, but it's intriguining. As are my thumbs tonight.

Thanks, Tony. I've seen a few stoves similar to this and I find them quite beautiful. I might try to find one.

Sorry Simes, definitively 30's because Mirus began his production in 1926 and stops his production in 1939. In France, after the second war,
you don't find many gasoline stoves but mostly natural gas stoves (butane/propane)

This kind of burner is from Omer Tournay's patent (1929) and has been mounted on Ekinox, Prestus and Lilor brand

You are most welcome to drop by and maybe have a cuppa or even a dram. I just had a look at the Succes - what a beauty and yes, I'd definitely love to see it. PM me closer to the time and we'll sort out the details.

    Thanks @Michel.

The Citreon DS wasn't the only thing ahead of it's time during that period then. :content:

I'll be obliged to modify my Mirus page. I recently found a letter in which the Mirus Director writes
"Nous vous informons que nous ne fabriquons plus les réchauds à essence ou pétrole"
translation : We inform you that we no longer manufacture gasoline or kerosene stoves
this letter is from april 1937
So the end of stoves production must be circa 1936
