I would really like to learn more about the single burner stove that have a self contained box.
Is there a list or other way for me to learn?

    Hi, @Detroithiker ,

    Well, to start with:

Primus: 71, and 8R (really an Optimus).

    Optimus: 8R, 99, 199, 111,111B,111C, 111Hiker+ 10, 80.

    Radius: 42,43, 46, 28.

There are more, me thinks, but that will give you a good start. Take care, & God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

Is a single burner PW one of them?
    Single burner and a box.

Or is that too far 'outside the box'?

    Go here: https://classiccampstoves.com/categories/the-stove-reference-gallery.2/
and spend way too long looking through all the countries and manufacturers. I did that when I first got interested in older stoves. I made mental notes, and saw a lot of really cool stoves I never knew existed (and then, of course, really wanted to find/own, hence the disease called stove pox).
There is a wealth of info in the gallery, and so much discussion there that never makes it to the general forum area, so it's also a really good place to do more 'detailed research' of stoves.

Any single burner box stove interests me, hell I'm toying with the idea of taking some extra coleman 425 stove parts and building my own.

Don't forget the French Vesta and the Finnish Valmet. The Valmet is at the top of my wish list.

@Detroithiker Does the Optimus No. 9 count?
Good luck finding one if it does though.
