Here are my 8Rs. One on left I use canoeing all the time. Works great. One on right is not working that well. Thanks to this forum I have done some work on it and once I get the fuel cap worked out hoping it fires up.
Very nice stoves for canoe use, well protected by the metal case. Easy to use, reliable, and stable. But, they need a serious wind screen. Brad
Here are my old 8Rs all tuned up and ready to go into Algonquin. Have been using them for decades, were my parents before me. Thanks to all the collective knowledge here they are in tip top shape and I have learned a lot. Thanks everyone! And btw they are burning nice and blue despite how they look. I see some raise the burner to try for my blue. No thanks-they look fine to me and burn nice and hot. The wick change on the one on the right was key. Thanks again everyone.
