Looks like a (greenhouse?) heater to me.

Chromium plated? Looks copper-coloured in the photos.

The decorative piercing on the windshield/pot rest and the handles suggests to me it’s a food warmer intended for a side table in a dining room.

Good thought. But why two wick burners, wouldn't have thought it would need two just to keep a pot warm on a table.

I also believe that it can be used to cook or finish the cooking of some food, but it will be limited by the the temperature it generates.

That's not a paraffin stove, it'll be a smokey sooty mess.

    Alcohol for sure.

I agree, most probably an alcohol burning device. Can you give some dimensions?

What does tank size have to do with fuel type?

Fire it up on paraffin, let us know how that goes.

Earlier in this thread I gave a link to the single burner version of the stove in this thread, here.
The bottom of this Pigeon stove says in three different wordings to use only alcohol.

To be fair, I don't think it'd be dangerous on paraffin. Just a smokey sooty mess, more akin to a tire fire than a stove.

Once you have used paraffin in a stove intended for alcohol you have a devil of a job getting rid of paraffin from the wicks.....if you ever can.
    You have an alcohol stove!

    Regards,
    Kerophile.

Took the advice and used meths, works great. I think it would have smoked terrible with paraffin. thank you all.
