    This unbranded outer burner cap for a silent burner is made of metal that is not brass. It is not magnetic.

    Could it be austenitic stainless steel?

    Can't say what type of steel it is but have a very similar looking non magnetic metallic cap that came to me on a Campanion. Whatever it is it works well.

    @Ray123

    “Campanion” or “Companion”?

    Companion. Please forgive my spelling error. Seems my proof reading monkey got into the whiskey again. I scolded him but it usually does no good.

    @Ray123

    I’ve looked in the shed and found a few more of these.

    I recall seeing, but haven’t uncovered yet, a stamped one: either Companion or (Australian) Aladdin.

    I’ll keep looking.

    Cheers

    Ha Ha Ha, And I thought that there was a Campanion model.
    I do trust some of you a lot.
