Robert, the three-legged brass classics are mostly kerosene. There are some petrolburners (as we call the Coleman-fuel types) that also are "brass classics" but of different conformation. Moreover, there is many a great classic that burns petrol. Note that the Radius 21 has no shut-off valve, which most gasoline burners have. You put the 21 out by opening the air screw, which releases the pressure. If you are burning petrol in such a stove (which can be done as a matter of "physics", so to speak), there is a real risk of ignition of petrol vapor coming from the air release before the burner is extinguished. This cannot happen with the low volatility of kerosene. Take some time and browse through the stove gallery and you'll be a near-expert in short order. Everything that is known is to be found here!
