    There is a simmer plate, though I got mine aftermarket.

    Coleman began advertizing the 530 while the war was still going on, but didn't begin selling it until after it was over. I've often wondered if the easy availability of (cheap) surplus 520s is why 530s were only made for a couple years. (Well, that and the return of Swedish stoves to the US market.)

    @shagratork can you give me the diameter of that plate? I'd like to try and cut one out at work.

    Had time to make a simmer plate today. Made from a scrap piece of stainless thanks again for the diameter.

    That looks great. I store my simmer plate at the bottom of the 530 container.
