Thats fabulous, thanks..... I have taken away the background and cleaned it up a bit but don't want to go too far thinking a bit of wear and tear looks better than perfect....

Thanks again, now the next problem is the filler cap which I presume should be threaded is so worn that it is just a loose drop in / fall out fit:
    - should it be threaded?
    - if so any ideas what the thread is?

    Again any help much appreciated

As to the exact dimensions, no idea is the quick answer!

As you can see the logo on mine is almost completely gone.... judging from shagratork's photo above an overall width of 155mm looks about right, but that is a guess

Hopefully someone out there can measure one for us

Let me know how you get on

Ive got one with enough of it left to get some measurements. Cooking dinner and drinking wine, best to post the measurements tomorrow.
I would consider replacing the decal if I had one. Great project, thanks for wanting to take it on.

I've got one without the decal, and would also be interested. Thanks!

    Hi Geoff

    That would be great, thanks

Not sure how successful printed waterslide transfers will be but they can be printed on a normal inkjet printer and claim to work on glass and ceramics etc. Anyway, I've had some tranfer paper kicking around for ages so might as well give it a try....

This is the stuff I have:

Hopefully if we can get the image file right and uploaded here people can then print their own

    Thanks again for the help

I don't have the skills to make it perfect but this is where its at at the moment:

    Here is my version...
For this to work you need a light colored background. Colors will not be true if applied to a dark background. You either mask and paint (preferably white) the decal outline then when dry you apply the waterslide. Also Inkjet printers ( or any printer) will not print gold or silver so you will probably get something close but not exact.
Without exact dimensions it will be difficult to replicate it.
