Have a few Burmos 21 all with fixed feet (ie:short tube soldered on the side of tank) but one of them has folding feet .
Does anyone know more about that ??
    Regards
    Alain

There’s a curiosity. Just three T&C catalogues in the Stove Ref Library and tantalisingly that variation is shown.

So, that one has a Burmos 21-sized roarer burner and (looks like from the illustration) a 1-pint tank with foldable feet ...

... yet in another of the catalogues the more usual configuration of a 1/2 pint No.96 with lipstick vapouriser burner, folding feet, alongside a Burmos 21 with the fixed feet/extensions to the pot rest holders that we’re used to seeing.

One I’d certainly overlooked. It’d be interesting if others would chime in with comment.

The earlier Burmos No.21 stoves, from the 1950s came with nicely engraved tanks and distinctive cream, green and red decorated storage tins. Some of these early No.21 stoves had folding feet, others the more common fixed tubular feet. There is another folding feet example, like yours, in the reference gallery:

From John @presscall post it appears that the two types were available at the same time for a period, but the folding feet style was then dropped, and the “plain tank” No.21 with stick-on logos and fixed tubular feet became the norm ( I am sure that it was cheaper to make!

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

    Thanks guys!
Other remark on them : they are all nicely engraved but some have “made in England” under Burmos and the other just “British made “on the tank .
On the 4 I have ,only one has “made in England “ on it ,and that is a fixed feet one .
Wonder when England was not part of the British empire !!!:lol::lol:

    Hi.
Can anyone provide a clean and complete photo of the Burmos logo /decal used on later type Burmos stoves?

I have found a way to create decals (on transfer film), and would like to make one for my Burmos where the decal is gone.
But I have no 'good' photo to duplicate.

    Thanks, Alastair. That helps!
I guess the main problem now is my lack of graphic editing skills ;-)
