This is getting the most use at the moment. :content:

Sitting on the Turm in 'coffee corners, think it was 50p.

Will have to drag the others out of their hidden corners, still looking for a simplex.

That's a strange looking beast indeed. What's the deal with the rear pointing tube?

You'll notice that the kettle has no lid. You fill it through the pour spout. When pouring liquid out, the small tube lets air back into the kettle. The contents pour smoothly without the glug, glug, glug you'd otherwise get.

My current favorite kettle is a 2 Qt stainless Farberware deco style with teak handle and knob.
Being a boat guy, teak wood always gets my attention. Nice compact kettle and the handle folds down too!
Works a treat on my Optimus 45A and fits my SeaSwing.

Finally got the IKEA kettle I wanted - better late than never and at £19, quite a bargain! Time to try it on one of my stoves - definitely the 111 kero

This is definitely not a camping or hiking kettle unless you go car-camping or your name is Arnold Schwarzenegger! It also takes quite a while to boil but it has a nice whistle and it folds flat which is a nice feature. I like the design and the small details like the brass washers and rivets.

@gnome Does the copper impart a metallic taste to the water like aluminum does?

this kettle is lined. most likely with tin. so there is no metallic taste from the copper.
