Would anyone know where I can buy some hose 3mm/ 1/8 ID - 10mm/ 3/8 OD for this great little stove? I thought it would be easy to get but it's proving remarkably difficult!

Excellent, another fan of the Alpine. Yours is in far better condition than mine.

Any reason you would like to replace the hose? Other than the original being rather too robust, the only slight niggle I have with mine. Although I did consider replacement I lived with it and never looked to source a replacement, although it should be relatively easy to find I would have thought. Guessing here but is it just standard flexi gas line?

Some time ago I was looking to replace the hose with some lighter braided line thinking it would be easy to get. The existing hose was 'welded' on so I just cut the pipe off. Now its just a wee bit short for my liking.

I have googled, ebayed, Amazoned for small diameter hose but cannot find any at all! Does anyone know where the stove manufacturers get theirs?

I have learned that companies which repair outboard engines for boats often have a variety of braided fuel lines, banjo fittings etc.

Small gas welding equipments use those hoses - a few years ago they used to be on shelf in many hardware stores with hose repair service.

I use 1/8" fuel injection hose on my Mercedes diesel fuel injector return lines. It's rated for fuel and the pressures you may see on a warm day with your butane canister.

@Marc et al many thanks, I keep those in mind if ever I get to doing the hose.

@Chas, Coleman took over the Epigas mantle so to speak in the UK and probably wider many years ago. It wasn't long before the Alpine design was changed and is sadly no more. It's actual history is still of interest along with the timeline of remote cartridge stoves.

Thanks for your replies. Fuel lines are probably my best bet.
The orange camping gaz hose is available everywhere over here but its 8mm ID.

@Lennart F. I had a small oxy/propane set years ago at work. Nice and lightweight, good for brazing.

Shame about Epigas. I have a Coleman/Epigas canister top stove and that's another great stove.

Here in MT--US I found some at a hobby shop that dealt with little gas-powered airplanes and such.

I have two of these models, really like them.
One of the first stoves I have purchased in the 80's and still using it from time to time.

I recently bought a used Epigas Alpine. It seems a previous owner has shortened the hose at the canister end and the hose has lost its flexility and is stiff, therefore I am going to replace the hose. Chas, did you ever find a suitable replacement hose and if so, where did you get it from please. Thanks.
