Hello, I know this is for camping stoves but I thought this would be the best place to ask. I recently purchased a sailboat which had onboard a 'Force10' Kerosene burner. I assume that is must be very old as Kerosene has been replaced in boats by Propane and I cannot find anything about it online. I have attached some photos of the stove for you to see. One of the burners has broken and I need a new one as a new propane installation is $1000+. If anyone knows of any spares going or any info regarding it I'd love to hear. Thank you, Toby

Many of the Force 10 stoves and heaters used Patria burners at one point, maybe after Hipolito stopped production? I have a couple of the Force 10 bulkhead mounted heaters, both had Patria burners from new. I would imagine you can repair your burner, it looks to be in one piece?
It would be most interesting to hear what Force 10 would have to say about this stove were you to give them a call. About 15 years ago, heck, maybe 16 or 17, I bought a Hipolito 2 modified by Force 10 as a marine stove to burn diesel. The sole "modification" was a big spirit cup, inasmuch as diesel would need more preheating. I have mentioned the stove often here from time to time: it is a great regulated silent collapsible 2-pinter that I have favored a lot over the years-- burning kero only, of course. Anyway, I called Force 10 in BC way back then to get info about the stove and the burner. It was a Hipo stove all the way, with a Hipo burner. Basically, they knew nothing about the stove. It had been a product of a few years before. I talked to 2 or 3 people. They'd heard something about Hipolito, heard something vaguely about Patria. In those days, I was curious about all this stuff! Hipolito was only recently out of business-- it was said that the Portuguese employees had the tooling and would resurrect the brand... Etc. and etc.-- the enthusiasm of the new collector! But like all manufacturers, unlike collectors-- they don't know and they don't care. Only what's happenin' now matters. It is ever thus.... So if Force 10 can tell you anything about this stove, well, I'll masticate my hat....
I think i still might have my Hip/force 10 burner downstairs. It took a bit to get all the diesel and crud out of it. I thought there was a jet modification as well...but memory might not serve me well. The fact it was regulated was my big draw to it. I think I still also have a bulkhead heater that also used a Hipolito burner....or is that one a Patria...I really should document everything....
And Toby...if you cant get an exact copy...I think a 270 burner will plop right on it with no problem.
