hl. I have a primus pt-1 and I lost the needle and I can not get it, does the needle of the 8R work for the pt-1?
Hi @Yeison I think not. From this thread: https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/primus-touristy-optimus-8r-clone-1993.6856/ Perhaps @Tony Press could comment. Best Regards
I say: Yes and NOT... mostly not. from years - i have seen only two spare sets - i have one of this... typical solving is buying next stove its generate costs.
This seller on ebay has parts but I can't see a cleaning needle advertised. You might be able to contact him to see if one is available. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ORIGINA...=item2a9d50f0b2:g:sYEAAOSwWw1bFoMz:rk:21:pf:0
Last time I bought some spares for the PT - The seller had the cleaning needle in stock. When looking now as @gieorgijewski writes, you can get the jet and other parts, but no pricker. I guess its a question of demand. Will keep an eye out. (Have asked one of the sellers (“sellsoviet”) - lets see what he answers
From My perspective - all parts are aviable - but from dismounted stoves - then - is strategic/logistic problem for calculate costs old stove or new stove if new - maybe is better buy new one e.t.c....

Reply from the seller “sellsoviet” on Ebay regarding if he had a jet pricker needle for the PT-1, his answer was: “Sadly not”
Hi @Yeison you have been given good advice by @snwcmpr . 1. You say that you have lost the built-in cleaning needle. 2. Replace the jet. 3. Check that your stove shuts off and can operate properly. 4. Use a normal external cleaning needle to clean the jet aperture, when needed. 5. You should now have a fully working stove. 6. Check ebay regularly to see if a replacement PT1 cleaning needles become available again. Good Luck. Best Regards, Kerophile.
Here is an ebay seller of the needle pricker for the PT-1 (according to his own wording). https://www.ebay.de/itm/REINIGUNGSN...580241?hash=item21523beed1:g:yREAAOSwu7hbOohj ADMIN: If this should be placed in another forum please move my posting.
