Interesting article found on the "other" site, with an obvious error. Primus Stove, Lockheed Sirius "Tingmissartoq", Lindbergh
That's right of course. Why didn't I think of that? I've got a stove with a snorkle for underwater use. Ben
Greetings, All, Interesting that the Lindberghs were planning on using "gasoline from the fuel tanks" to power the stove. Sounds like a recipe for disaster, unless the plane was flying on kerosene. I wonder about that part of the story. What say you, Folks? I have an Optimus version of what I believe is the exact same model of this stove, which I bought on "the bay" as a "box of parts", many years ago. I'll have to dig it out, and compare it to the Lindbergh Primus. Fun stuff, in any case. Thanks to @Blueflame for sharing this! Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
@Blueflame , Thanks! I think that the photos that show the upside-down spirit cup is a very nice "safety feature", when burning gasoline, don't you think!?!?? Doc
