    Hello!
    I've had a Coleman stove, 3 burner, propane, model #5427, for as long as I can remember (it was my father's from when he was younger, we used it all through my childhood, and I've continued to use it to this day - I'm now 32). This past winter, after a winter trip into algonquin, I left the hose (that connects the propane canister to the stove itself) in my buddies car, and he moved out east and now can't find it.
    I'm really hoping I can find a replacement part but I can't find anything online (I've contacted Coleman, but no success yet).
    Does anyone have any ideas how I can find this part?
    Thanks,
    Kristin.

    hey,
    thanks ? yea, I checked the Coleman site earlier but I'm not sure if the hose will be the right fit, even though it looks right (since the stove is so old)? i've emailed Coleman, so hopefully they'll be able to let me know for sure!
    oh, and yea, you were right on your guess on which model. 8)
    thanks,
    kristin.

    Kristen you may not know it but this is your lucky day. I happen to have one of these parts in my parts bin and no stove to go with it. Had i won the stove i wanted on epray then i'd have had an extra hose kiit. Now your only problem is you need to wait until i get home to have it sent to you.

    Just PM me with your shipping address and it will be on it's way before the 15th of june.

    Have a great day

    Hey Lance!

    I know your post is from over a decade ago, but did Kristen ever get back to you about the hose? I'm having the same problem and would be happy to pay for shipping if you still have that extra hose.

    Duncan.

    Haven't heard from Lance for a long time. I wonder if he is still trucking. Met him a couple of times in the early years. We had a great get-together with Gerry Nygaard (Nordicthug) once upon a time.

    Hey Ed, did you ever hear from him after this post? I hope he's still trucking as well. He came through Denver when we were living up there we went to the "Mile Hi" flea market with my wife along. A true gentleman and I hope he's not shuffled off the mortal .... ( because I'm not sure how to spell "coil" the right way... ) Still, we all get to go in the end and the best you can hope for ... ( is to die in your sleep? Not even sure about THAT ... )

    I certainly hope Lance is still around. Heck of a nice guy. I met him several years ago when I was contracting in the midwest. I had the same issue as in this post -- I posted a 'wanted' for a hard-to-find part, he had one, promised to get it to me, gratis, and was as good as his word. I now have a complete Phoebus 725 as a result. Mostly, though, I'd like to talk with him again. As I say, a really nice guy.

    @ArchMc , @Ed Winskill , and All,

    Lance and I speak on the phone, every few months, plus or minus a few more..... He's retired from trucking, and has been for quite a while. Though, just like most of us, as he gets older, he has a few aches and pains, but otherwise, he's doing fine, and just as interesting as he always has been!! I'll give him a shout, and let you know that you are remembering him fondly. He IS a great guy, and like Gerry (NordicThug), Lance is most definitely one of a kind!!!! I'll post an update after I talk to him. Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

    @Ed Winskill , @ArchMc , @Matukat , and All,

    Just spend almost an hours in pleasant conversation with Lance!! I'm delighted to report that he's alive and well, and doing just fine!! We talked about myriad things, and laughed a lot, as usual!! Lance is his same old feisty, funny, Gentleman self, that we all know and love!! I did tell him that we'd talked about him recently, and read him the post about seeking a hose. As you may all surmise, that was so very long ago, that Lance has no recollection of that thread, nor the hose in question. No unusual, for a Gent that, like many of us, has tons of stoves and parts pass through his hands, so things that happened a decade ago, can easily be forgotten!

    We did talk about something fun, at least for us. As most of you know, I have what I call my "Hobbit Hole" in our basement, and it's filled with stoves, parts, fuels, and various and sundry other related items!! Lance and I recalled that NordicThug had a place like that, and his was called his "SnakePit". Lance has one, too, and it his "Dungeon", where, as he told it, his stove, lanterns, and other hobby items, have been breeding in the dark!! He set out to make an inventory, of sorts, recently, and quickly gave up, after deeming it to be nothing more than tilting at Windmills!!! I feel his pain!!! ;) :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

    In any case, Lance told me that he will soon have some extra time, and he plans to pay us a visit!!!! I look forward to seeing him here, once again, and hope he can visit more often!! Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

    I have lost the flexible gas hose for my stove. Does anyone have one that I can buy?
