I found this stove in a catalan market. Almost unused, with slight marks of having turned on but rarely. It had an equal version but in a worse state. And the bargain price, I decided to have it. The instructions of the box are in Italian, French and Spanish. It comes equipped with funnel, windshield and clean needle. In other aspects I have nothing more to say than what has already been said. It is a pleasure to share it with you Jaime Alonso
WELCOME Jaime, This is an absolutely excellent example thank you so much for sharing it. I can't recall any tin in as good of condition and surely not like yours. Your tin: the top and front we've seen, however (as you mentioned), looking to the right, yours is French, Spanish & Italian (vs Swedish, German & English). Your post is very much appreciated ----------------. Pr 70 examples have emerged that narrow Pr 70/71 dating. For sake of accuracy, i'll request year range in title be revisited, I suggest c1926 - c1929. Here is why: You're correct, from what we see yours is not a match to 1925 examples (with recessed filler) but iirc it is not known how many years the earlier ('25) version was offered (it did end by '27). Given that I suggest c1926 -. me "...Image in c1927-29 conrup catalog gives me impression, straight-up filler tube has ended by this time? " source A note: The valve (minus spirit cup) was added to the Pr70 c1930. The pin was added in 1931. source Re 1931: I suggest c1926-c1929. We see it is not 1931 and we see at least 2 c1930 versions of Pr 70 succeeded yours. For yours 1930 is less likely, hence c1929. thx again omc tag @Labargorri Pr71 Primus 70 primus 71 P70 P71
Thanks for your wise explanation. I agree with your correction, as soon as I learn to correct the publication, I will do so.
@Labargorri If you click on the “Report” link at the bottom of a post, you can ask a Moderator to change the title. Best regards Tony
Jaime, If so (you were starting to go crazy) please accept my apology. I am sorry for my part. Above my "For sake of accuracy, i'll request year range in title be revisited, I suggest c1926 - c1929." As soon as I posted my comment I also already hit "report" post (to share my request re year range) with site moderators. Congrats on scoring such an outstanding stove. thx omc
Very nice complete stove that looks like it lived in a time capsule @Labargorri ! The little dish funnel makes so much sense. And thank you @OMC for the detail around the year differences, I had some how missed that my incomplete 70 with recessed filler and patent numbers was from the first model years, so a couple of years older than I recorded it as in my notes. Cheers
