Got round to fettling this thing today. In picture 16, is a jet thingy which would have had a hole drilled in it, acting as the jet - it was so opened up due to rust and corrosion, the simplest remedy was to drill it out more and sil-brase a standard nipple in. It works well.

I also have a recently acquired #43. My nozzle is not TOO big yet, but I'd like to know the size of the jet you installed on yours.
Mine does not have the pressure relief valve so is probably an earlier version. It has the same No.43 on the top plate.
Should be white gas. I run my collection of plumber's furnaces on Coleman fuel. Don't let that kettle run dry or it won't be a kettle for long!
I have recently acquired a Unique just like the one pictured and it was a rusted mess. I need to find a valve because the shaft on mine snapped in two and Have not been able to get the end piece out. The jet looks ok, but the wick looks short. Anyone know where I can find parts for this stove? I am new here and trying to make a pot to solder flashings and downspouts. I have a few irons in good shape and need a way to heat them.
I am presently working on a Unique 55 kerosene burner. It is all cleaned up now waiting for the paint shop.
