In the early days of my collecting frenzy the Valor Packaway was high on the want list, condition at that time unimportant. Anyway the first offering here very quickly became a regular workhorse paired with a 00 on extended trips. I think I may have wiped t down with a wet rag at some point, but other than that it's been a grab and go user. Packaway in this instance is a bit of a misnomer as it sits assembled to throw in the box of other heating and lighting bits. Shown here on tea making duties. It is alight honest, early morning sunshine not the best for flame shots. Anyway, so taken have I been with the Valor I thought I would like a slightly better example..... The lid of the tin needs a little TLC at some point, as does the rusty clasp. I do like the fact that the bottom of the tin is also painted. Complete with unopened Valor prickers. Classic Valor green. Fired a couple of times only. I need to practice my paintwork restoration technique before attempting to work on this example.
@Simes I share the attraction Simes, the graphics are so evocative of the period and the green enamelled windshield contributes to the period feel too. Fine presentation of a beater and a better spare. John

@Simes ,yes very easy stove on car trips, mine has a stand (in tin)for the loose items like burner,wind shield etc.My tin is in great nick I was so pleased I bought one for my brother,hes up and down the mainland offen,here way down in NZ. regards toad
@Toad of the Cape. I'm pretty sure under the dusty grime on the lid there's still plenty to reappear. It'll not be pristine after treatment but not far off if other results sbown on CCS are anytbing to go by. The rest is in remarkably good condition. I suspect I'll not fire this one again in a hurry.
