Hey guys, few days ago, I bought this little guy it´s my first stove and is pretty rare. So i would like to show you some photos. I think that it will be necessary to clean it and to replace seals for a better operation with stove. So I prepare to repair it. I have a similar stove - great little stove - (after I got it sorted out). The wick was an old piece of Flag Pole rope which was partially melted. (Your flames look a little weak - could be the wick?)
Flame at the spindle also (where key goes on) that will require tightening or repacking with graphite.
Yes near the key is small flame, there is gas coming out, i think that i should replace seal inside but i don't know what material can i use because i don't have original seal
@Marrin 1. The flame at the control spindle might be fixed by turning the spindle nut 1/4 of a turn (clockwise). Repeat if that does not work. If the control becomes difficult to turn ad there is still a flame there, you will need to replace the graphite seal behind the nut. 2. The performance of the stove should improve with a new seal for the filler cap. 3. If you are still getting a weak flame after the stove is hot and has been operating for a few minutes, you should check the wick. Replace the wick with cotton wick. Best regards Tony

Have a look at this thread for wick changing and checking filler washer: Optimus No:8R First Steps: Filler Cap & Wick Remember to check a strand of any "cotton" you consider using for a wick. Apply a flame to the end of the strand. If it blackens and chars it is likely cotton. If it also shows evidence of melting it is possibly a blend of cotton and man-made plastic fibres, making it useless for wick applications in a stove. Other checks you should carry out on your stove: Ensure no air leaks from the fuel tank, through either the filler cap and/or SRV. If there is a leak replace the sealing washers. I would recommend two further checks before thinking about replacing the wick. 1. Ensure that the tank is not over-filled with fuel. The maker recommends no more than two-thirds filled. 2. If the filler cap has been sealed since you last used the stove, open it to allow the tank to equalise pressure before re-sealing the cap and priming the stove. Best Regards, Kerophile.
