This thread had a bit of a rocky start, but some excellent information has emerged. The brains of CCS members contain all sorts of gems that should see the light of day.
Herc, actually I am the one that has done his research. I gave up on this topic back in February. I just couldn't see the point in arguing anymore. I saw your reply just now because of some research I was doing brought up links to this topic. I can't see the point in all the self righteous protectors of all things Coleman as Ken apparently seems to be. Standing on a soap box protecting incorrect information... going on and on and on... I just don't get it.

To *all those interested in advancing a worthy topic... *all, Matty, If we return to OP: this topic, to your credit IS one that can go a long way to advance members understanding of US / CA (Canadian) models. Tony, does his research, has remained engaged and he might possibly want to add Canada / Australia notes? It seems many Coleman CA stoves & lamps were sold there. Contrary to above comments Herc has added content resulting from research he has done and <-- that is and should be appreciated. Fopr all involved the topic is a work in progress and (I credit Ross) we can lighten up a bit here. Matty's interest that initiated this includes early Canadian suitcases, not in the book are: CA model 2 & 9 CA model 2A CA model 9A CA model 11A / "Ranger" ^^^^ that and the linked ICCC list and scouterjan's CCF post I refer to above is, in support of my above comment: "imo a list could be developed fairly quickly [give credit were appropriate] with maybe 75-90% of known models included (quickly, much better than the existing list). I for one would find a list very interesting and surely supplementary/complimentary to the list compiled by scouterjan and members of CCF. There may be some pieces of information held within CCS membership that hasn't made it to the CCF list?
JUMP START to old thread credit and thanks to @KMC KMC, welcome to CCS and a prev. thread: an earlier attempt at assembling a comprehensive list of Coleman models. Still a good idea and majority of it easily doable (vs more difficult 1890s type or companies/countries that no longer exist type research) and Coleman details are in English ! woohoo Above we began a focus re 2 burner suitcases which is what initiated the thread IIRC. Thanks for the tag @OMC , I have seen @KMC list over at CCF and appreciate the ongoing work he is putting into it. Fantastic that he has also shared-added it to the valuable reference that CCS is. I guess 3,100 views shows this thread has popped up in many a search, so it can only add value. Cheers
