Finally finished my 1952 model Rodgers Akron M1950 military stove rebuild, it was in pretty poor shape when I received it, changed every seal to Viton with a complete tear down and cleaning with citric acid, new leather for the pump and paint for the tank, probably hasn’t seen fire in 30-35 years, runs like a jet engine now! Pretty happy with the results.
Looks like you did a very nice job there - well done! The family of 520, 530, 1942MOD and M1950 are a bunch of trustworthy powerfull beasts.
My 1942 has had a good cleaning and new seals.....it kind of blows itself out. Has been sitting on my bench for years, every now and then I frick with it a bit. Had just been dinking with it a few minutes before I made the above post. My 1950's run like rockets.
Hmm, maybe change the generator or possibly just the jet, sounds like your getting too much air flow.
