Hello Please can someone advise me of the pronunciation. Is it SI-RAM as in Simon? Or SY-RAM as in syrup? Is the RAM more like a RUM sound? Or something completely different! Thanks very much. PS It's for a script for a future Bangers & Cash car show currently showing on Yesterday at 8pm on Thursdays.

Since it’s a double consonant in the middle I’d tend towards syr-ram (and probably mar-ris). I’m not sure you need worry about it too much. We Brits are getting much less fussy when it comes to pronunciation, to wit “should of” instead of “should have” so much so that we hear it so often in speech that is now becoming the way we write it down too. Sear - um (like up). But I have only read the word, never heard it. Svea, Trangia, Primus, and others are words we pronounce differently.
It's Marris written backwards I guess whatever suits you I'd likely say marris if I was to pronounce it
