Dug out an old trunk that was stored for about 32 years of my grandfather's. Found some jems that's for sure. Nice collection of different styles of stoves, burners, nice 41 236 major lanter . Knives much more.

@Archie MacIsaac Fantastic, congrats!! Welcome. Can I ask a favor? Can you add pics of the box while it's handy. For that matter, we'll welcome as many pics you may want to post. I had a quick look at 500s in the gallery. I do not see a 1938 "in box" example. The boxes and company name changed through the years. Sorry for pesky request, could you manage pics of 4 sides and top of box, please? I've also checked #500 instructions in library. 500 is a lengthy instructions from what i see in library. There is an undated instruction, I can't imagine it's a '38. So, your instruction may be the only confirmed '38 dated instruction as well. As Paul pointed out, '38 is 1st year for 500, 1938 examples are among the most rare if not the most rare. I just "had to have a '38" and did finally get one but others here are more familiar. If the funnel is original (news to me)? Your funnel looks pristine. Posting a photo archive of your find, a rare classic stove, complete "in box", would be very much appreciated.
