    Greetings, Fellow Stovies,

I thought I'd share the stove display that we are currently enjoying in our Living Room. I know that some of you can figure out which stoves we are using, but doubt that you would get all of them. Some are just too rare, or too little seen, to make identification easy. Hope you like the display, in any case.

Guessing all of the stoves will be hard, me thinks. But, give it a try, and let's see how close you can come! Take are, be healthy, and God Bless!

Bit thrown by the pump rod end in 1st from left, maybe late period Optimus? can't see much else too well on that one; Primus No3; Primus No.2; another well hidden, maybe Svea or Optimus collapsible?; and finally a Lamb petrol stove. Anywhere near close? Good game.

    Ian:thumbup:

ps don't want to worry you Doc but there's some lamps crept in amongst the stoves:shock::lol:

    Hi @Ian , @MrAlexxx ,

Ian, take a closer look at the stove on top of the #7 case. I'm pretty sure you can guess it, if you do! NOT a Primus 70.

Alex, yes, it's a Coleman shade and lamp. Good job! How about the lamp on the other side of the table? Any guesses??

    @igh371 , Ian,

Excellent guesses, so far. RE: the stove on the left, it should be VERY familiar to you. That's the only hint I will give, right now! I will say however, that you are VERY close on several other stoves, though! Narrow it down a bit, and you might get them!

Oh, and yes, those pesky lamps did sneak in when I wasn't looking!! Actually two of them are kept filled with Coleman Fuel, in case we lose power. They are both very easy to fire up, and then, VOILA, we have light!

This is fun! Thanks for playing, Gentlemen, and good luck! God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

    Hi, Mates,

So far, @igh371 has gotten one correct guess, and is very close on a few more. @MrAlexxx , you are also correct on one guess. Anybody other guesses? Let's see what others might toss in! If the guesses are too thin, I'll share a few clues, to see if we can get closer to guessing them all! Keep the guesses coming, Gentlemen, and Ladies!

OK, so had a closer look at that on the left as far as that's possible, and my best pitch is going to be an Eperon D'Or No.1 [-o<

And narrow the back right down to a WW1 era Optimus No.1 Traveller?

Ian, you got it!!! Well done! I even left the post card in the photo, as a "hint" for you. Great job! Now you've gotten two of them right!! Here's another hint: remember to take viewer perspective into account. I know, that's rather vague, but it might help you get another one!! Way to go!

Viewer perspective:-k In that case the one I thought might be a Primus No.3 is just a No.2, and the one I had as the No.2 is only a 2 pinter:doh:

Love the lamps! Sorry fellow stovies, I like lamps and lanterns as much or maybe more than stoves. I will take my shirt off now for flogging. Brad

Lanterns are great, but you can only make one thing with them.

    Hey, Guys,

Just back from taking a huge gathering of empty boxes to the dump. SB and I were going to walk around the lake, but it was super crowded!! YIKES!! Few were practicing social distancing, and even less were wearing face masks, even with all the crowds! So, we came back home, and after checking this thread, @igh, Ian, has scored another one!! So, now, you lead the pack, Ian, with three correct guesses!! Super well done!! There are other stoves to be ID'ed, so keep looking, and see if more ideas come to you. That goes for all of your CCS Mates, too!!

@BradB , like you we appreciate and very much love our lamps and lanterns!! We'll give Ed a candle for Christmas, whilst those of us that appreciate lamps and lanterns, will have light, and warmth, for a very long time, whilst poor Ed will be in the dark, and stumbling around in only a few hours of candle light!! ;) ;) When we lose power, the first thing we fire up, are our lamps. And, yes, they do provide heat, as well as lots of clean, and bright light!! This brings to mind CASG #2, at which @ArchMc , @Jim Henderson , @flivver , and I, fired up so many lamps and lanterns, that our neighbors in the campground took this B&W photo of our campsite, which appears to have gone Nuclear!!

    CASG #2 goes Nuclear.jpg

They were very good sports about it, though, and as Mac had helped them by loaning a stove after their propane stove went South, they came to visit us several times!

Back to the guessing game.....! We'll leave poor @Ed Winskill in the dark ;) :content:, with his burnt-out candle, and let's have some more guesses!! Take care, and God Bless!

Well, I count in my basement four or five petrol lamps; Colemans of various eras with one of those little-guy Exponents. Then, one Coleman kero lantern.

I have 3 or 4 propane mantle lanterns, which I use in the big Winter tent. I use these because I don't want liquid fuel, especially Coleman fuel, inside the tent. Any spilled fuel incident inside the tent could rapidly become a serious disaster!

No electric lanterns, of which God forbid! A couple Dietz type wick lamps....

    But I don't.....collect them!

    Morning, All,

OK, at the current moment, the score for guessing correctly as to what's in my display stands thus:

@MrAlexxx , Alex got the Coleman Quick Lite, with its enameled steel shade.

@igh371 , Ian is at the head of the pack, as he correctly ID'ed the French Eperon D'Or No.1, on the far left; The Primus #2, in the center; and the Governor Lamb (in the Brit Army #7 case, on the right side!

@Nicola Francesco Elia , Nicola, you did guess correctly, but Ian had already beat you to it. Great try, though! Thanks for playing!

It looks like I'm going to have to offer some very bold hints, for the rest of the goodies to be identified!! So, even thought these photos will probably be TOO much info, here they are, just for fun!

First up, is a look at the dating code on the Primus #2.

    1.jpg

The "V" indicates that this Primus #2 was made in 1931.

These next shots are "gimmie's" I'm thinking! ;)

    2.jpg

    3.jpg

    4.jpg

And, finally, maybe this will help you guess this one. No cheating, and enlarging the photo on your iPad!!! =;[-X

    5.jpg

Okie-Dokie, now you should easily be able to guess the rest of the goodies on the trestle table! I look forward to seeing how you do! Take care, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc
