Taykit Pocket Stove help needed

Finally got a taykit pocket stove after years of searching, produces a strong blue flame but the flame is not quite straight up, more leaning to one side.
I dont want to bend the coils for fear of breaking, i may never find another one,
Any advice? maybe i should use as is and enjoy this wonderful stove
I would also like to know when this stove was produced, I cant find much info about that, as well the funnel rubber is not a tight enough fit in the opening to prevent it from leaking when packed away with fuel

 

Have you used the pricker in the fill cap? That hopefully will dislodge any obstruction.
As I recall, the gap between coils should be the width of a dime (US).

 

I had mine out to use for lunch today,,, Mine sure isn’t as happy in cool weather.

Clean the jet, and be pleased with what you have I’d say.

Looks good. Nice blue flame, no orange. Use it well.

 

I replace the rubber on the funnel, I recall finding some hose that fit well.

My flame is never straight up, no biggie.

 

I have a downloaded copy of the "regular" instructions. However, I used to have a fax copy of instructions - with a picture - showing how to pack it properly. Anybody out there have a copy I can download to replace my missing packing instructions

 

There are two sets of Taykit instructions in the Stove Reference Library. One of them is complete with packing instructions. Access to the library is available to subscribers.

 

Thanks Laitch. I must have old rights to the library. When I first saw the 6-page pamphlet, I somehow missed the packing info on page 3.
