Hi, All, I have a question about a non-stick coating that Trangia. When did they start using a coating called "Fluon"? I have an M27, boxed, that is marked "Floun Coated", meaning the frying pan, and I'd love to know the date periods that Trangia used that coating. Thanks for any help you can send my way. are you referring to the grey type non-stick coating? trangia central has a pic of the grey coating and lists it at 1969. the history timeline on the Trangia website lists it as 1969, but their pic is of a much more modern kit. Trangia » Timeline - Trangia from 1925 - Trangia
Here’s some pics from a STORMKOK NR 25 with a “FLUON”/Teflon frypan. Instructions say to season the pan with oil or fat as needed.

Greetings, @Hazet , @Etherman , @Giri , Thank you, Gentlemen, for your comments, and information! Here's a sneak peek at one of the reasons for my questions! This pair of Trangia Twins came my way, recently. Both were being offered in Colorado, bought one day apart, and they both arrived here on the same day. The sellers, as it turned out, lived only 4.5 miles from one another!! What are the odds of that happening!?? In any case, your responses are helping me to date both Trangia stoves. Doc, If the kits are in as good a Condition as the boxes they are a very nice find. @Giri , thanks for the link to Teflon history. Interesting reading.
Hi, @ROBBO55 , Many thanks! Both kits are in excellent condition. One appears to have only been fired once, and the other is VERY lightly used. One of them is missing it's grabbing handle, but I think I have a spare one that should work with this kit. If I may, the kits are even better than the boxes, to me. Thanks for your kind words!
