Hi I received my new to me 1916 Primus 210 compact outfit! I’m usually a 96 man and don’t know much about 210’s but I just really fancied an early 210 with the extra tins ect! I have been looking for some time and this came up! The only real difference I can see from others in the gallery is that the meths tin lid is offset and the brass plate is in front of the handle on the tin? Does anyone know if this relates to it age? It also came with an interesting print inside! Thanks for taking the time to read Aaron
A lovely outfit. I love seeing kits like that but often wonder the weight of these old kits were not light. Yet they were for everyday use. A bit like outdoor clothes and tents. How they carried them all is amazing!
Fantastic kit,all complete with its tins. I have a 210 (not as old mine has the fold out feet) and they are great. One question... How do you get it to stick to wall like that?
Thanks for the comments! I’ve only ever had one 210 before and it was much newer with no tin. I’m looking forward to giving it a service and getting it fired up! As for sticking to the wall I’m not really sure why the photos are sideways
That’s a great stove and outfit, Aaron. What does the bottom line on the tin badge say? Tony @Aaron1980
Very Nice outfit these are my favourite tinned outfits! I have used electrolysis very successfully to clean the cases up I then wax them and they don’t come out all sparkly and new just rust free! Cheers Nick
Fire that thing up and enter it in the May Stove of the Month contest. It will have my vote for sure. Ben
Hi thanks for the great comments! I’ve ordered a service kit and if it arrives in time I will enter! Thanks again Aaron
The stories it could tell! I've seen a few tins with soldered-on brass plagues on the 'wrong' side of the tin, but I have yet to come up with a logical explanation. Your outfit certainly seems to look the part! Many thanks for posting.
