Still needs a fettle, but second time in my custodianship that a little pump oil and preheat hasn't failed. Well made!....must fettle for next custodian
I teased @salan3 here about pictures to prove passing the tea test so I thought I'd better put my money where my mouth was so to speak. Here's my 1949 (AN) Primus 210 on duty with kettle of unknown origin earlier today. tips were a bit yellow with only 3 pumps not surprising really as a few more pumps reminded me that I've never managed to get rid of the leak at the base of the nipple that caused me to sign up here nearly 8 years ago. Maybe one day I'll get it sorted. Regards John
Simes 00 post made me think of this light up pic I posted elsewhere last week. I love the 00 (tho I didn't get a spirit can) it's a solid performer as seen here. Love that even in the white light of the lantern the blue flame is so vibrant. Also found a 8F last weekend whilst out and about, it's a happy little stove as well.
This is the flame of a recently fettled old Primus No. 1 burner mounted on a blow torch tank to create a unique frankenstove [not be me, mind you — I just fettled it back to life]. The burner required a fair bit of work so I’m happy with the result. (No filters on these shots): I’ll post the whole fettle when I finish working on the tin it came in. Cheers Tony
