I have a svea burner look like svea 815;but no trademark on the top On the back of burner plates they mark SVEA In central tube he have a chock I try primus Optimus caps he always yellow flames Any suggestions all masters Thank you
Hi, @Tantra What do you men by "chock" in the central tube? it does not make sense in English. Can you post a photo? Do you mean a crack or slit perhaps? Best Regards, Kerophile
Sorry I am mistake mean that same as shotgun Shrinking Throat in front of barrels.1/4 or 1/2 or full. That is choke
I am pretty sure that choke ‘washer’ should not be in there. Can you prise it out? If so, take it out and try with conventional inner and outer caps.
Hi @Tantra. As Twoberth says, that should not be there. It will reduce airflow and make the mixture fuel-rich. Remove it and you should get an improvement. Best Regards, Kerophile.
Yes I will try Long time ago I bid on line get a dannish stove Ginge ranger I am surprised why they use Svea burner why the burner have choke also looks original parts Thank you all the masters
Good idea In my mind a unregulated silent burner use alcohol not safe I have never seen any case I found the tank very dirty not same to Meths spirit Also not any sweat smell The jet is normal size about 0.32 mm
maybe modified to run with out burner plate or cap as the washer would act as a flame holder to the jet of gas coming from the orifice? just an observation
I flow the some US master suggest,Yes it’s was use ethanol, and use original 0.32mm jet, works fine, flame not big but very stable and reliable.long times work not make tank hot even use 1/2 pints small tank, such as Primus No.210 Can not pump more than 8/10 times, flame will fly. No reflux Noasthma. Amazing discovery to me I can imagine the burner was designed in world war two He fire 15 minuets can not make a trangia 0.6 lite pot boiling. At last 18 minuets That’s mean thirty minutes one liter water Now the tank temperature about 30 Maybe I have to try 0.5 mm jet
