Saw this on eBay recently, only pictured from the top so I couldn't be sure what I was buying. I studied the pictures hard to see what clue's I could get, in the end the early legs with the collars decided it for me. It arrived today and I'm pleased to find that it does infact have bun feet. I need to change the pump rod and cap as that's all been swapped but I think I've got something suitable and change the Burmos burner. I'm happy though and I've got something new to fettle at the weekend.
Thanks, glad you like it. @The Warrior did you think the price was reasonable? More than I paid for the last one which was complete but that was a bargain. @Lighthouse yes, the pump is all wrong. I can't unscrew the cap at the moment but I'm hoping the threads are good as I think I've got a better one to fit. The burner is a Burmos one with the screw in the top. I think the riser and spirit cup are original though so I can just change the burner. Then I just need a spirit can for the other space in the tin.
That is definitely a stove with history and a story to tell. Possibly one careful owner who's maintained a complete working stove with love and care. Or...a parts compilation to sell.
