    Hi! Stovees!

Would you please let me know why nova plus is no longer produced?

Furthermore, I've heard that certain serials were produced in Sweden not China nor Taiwan.
If somebody know on this, please explain more.

    Thanks in advance.

Not at all. I was just asking someone who might know what the answer is.

There should be no secrets here.

    Cheers

The simple answer why the + is out of production is probably lack of demand and profitability. I have one, and think its a brilliant stove, but I guess not enough people liked it.

It was first made in Sweden, with a cejn tank coupling. Until ca. 2010.

    Hi All,
Nova+ was introduced 2006 and was produced in Sweden until 2008 (possibly early 2009). All stoves made in Sweden have the Cejn quick coupling, all other Nova+ stoves have the bayonet coupling.

Production was discontinued after the Polaris was introduced in 2015. The demand for the Nova+ became too small to keep it in the range alongside Nova and Polaris. It stayed on in the range during 2016.

They are available, used, quite often. I have found them ... once I wanted some.

@Staffan Rönn Clarify for me, but didn’t the ‘+’ specification feature fuel control by twisting the green plastic bulge thing in the fuel line?

    Hi @presscall ,

That's correct. The Nova+ had the fuel valve operated by twisting the fuel line. The spindle valve was drilled through. The picture you posted is the later version produced in Taiwan. Here are pictures of the version with Cejn coupling produced in Sweden.

@Staffan Rönn I see. Going on what I think I’ve heard, the Swedish version worked well, the Katadyn product not so well?

I’ve the early Swedish Nova with CEJN fittings and a control spindle and folding control handle at the burner.

Hi @presscall , there was a series of both Nova and Nova+ produced in China that had potential defects and were subject to a recall 10 years ago, but the other ones originally made in Sweden and later in Taiwan have been good.

    Good information, Staffan.
Your comments regarding the +'s identity between nova and polaris would be quite impressive.
Furthermore the shown picture of Cejn connector? would be also helpful.

Greetings, since I registered in the forum I have documented about the use of my Optimus Nova + version made in Sweden for my luck. I was able to replace the CEJN 141 1251 connector O-rings with great success but with the black O-rings that come in the red box for the automotive industry. I fervently appreciate all the information on the forum in this regard. I can tell you that the Nova + is an excellent piece, some spare parts that Optimus Katadyn currently offers continue to work for you, and what you know about CEJN. It is unfortunate that it is no longer on the market. I plan to buy a cejn connector to adapt to my Nova + the use of screw-on gas bottles for my future trips to other countries. This will be a complete and efficient Multifuel ...

    Lucky Guy, Jose!
Might I get the CEJN coupler, my nove+ would be great stuff of stove.
Currently my one has no problem. I would prepare the spare parts as you recommended.
    Thant a lot.

    Hey SY Kimm

when you have a leak in your CEJN 141 you can change the O-rings following the instructions here. In the future when I manage to buy the CEJN to add bottled gas to my nova + I will be informing. let us see your nova +, here you can see ours
