I am tidying up my secret stash in the attic today. I found these bottles from early 1980's or so (as featured in this catalogue: https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/optimus-stove-catalogue-mid-1980s.42490/) They are very light weight, but I think that is the only positive thing to say about them (apart from maybe the 80's design and color scheme). They are absolutely not designed as pressure vessels, very thin gauge material. The screw caps are very cheap and soft and will potentially deform easy. The packing in the cap is made of a paper material. I doubt the beverage bottle has any coating on the inside, so it would not comply with current CE norms as aluminium would migrate into drinks kept in the bottle, especially acid juices or alcoholic beverages.
