This is my well used A & F camping cookware. I don’t have any idea of it’s age. Not a kit you see very often. The large pot is labeled “B” , the medium pot “A” and the coffee boiler is labeled “O” on their respective bottoms.

    Howdy, @Mr.stove ,

Very cool set. For group camping, that would be a great cook kit. From what gauge aluminum is it made? What are the sizes/capacities of each? Thanks for sharing, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

    Per Doc Mark’s request:
    All measurements are approximate
The pots are about.062” thick or 16 gauge.
The coffee pot holds about 2 quarts to the rim.
The medium pot holds about 3 quarts.
The large pot holds about 4 1/2 quarts.
So the are a nice size for a group.

    Thanks for your interest. Gary

    Nice pot set.
Abercrombie & Fitch has been around for a long time. Started out as a high-end camping store. If I recall, Horace Kephart wrote about some of their equipment in his classic 1917 book, Camping and Woodcraft.

Yes, a very nice set of pots. In my mind's eye, I can see an Adirondack guide cooking a meal for his New York City "sports", in front of a "lean to" on a pine-rimmed lake, canoes in the foreground....

The Abercrombie & Fitch store in downtown Chicago, was in the same building as Marshal Field's, but you had to use a side enterance, IIRC.
They were also an outlet for Official Boy Scout gear. Fascinating wares. All high end stuff. But one time I bought a mil surp horsehide holster for an M1911 for One Dollar.
