Release the catch and flip the chimney back. On my Beatrice #33, I don't know if the 8/29 is a date, but it looks like it could be. Looks like your #3 is a single-wick model, so it may not look like this, but searching for cast or stamped numbers is a good first step. (A date code will be stamped, rather than cast.) Otherwise, all you can do is search for a match in dated catalogs or ads. Good luck! Welcome to CCS. ....Arch
General design if it was a british Beatrice would suggest pre-WWI but details and paint say that it could be a later non-british production.
It has Beatrice with made in England above it on bottom of tank and has 1901 stamped under the Very top piece Iron sits on , is this a patent or manufacturer date ? Thank’s again ! ,
Good question. To me, the "BEATRICE 1901" looks like it's part of the casting, which (again, to me) would suggest a patent date. I'm far from a Beatrice expert, though. Hopefully, someone will chime in. It's a nice find, in any case. ....Arch
I think it may be top part updated(simplified) in 1901 - that would fit the general timeline for british made Beatrices. The only swedish maker of Beatrice never updated the design and used most of the parts for the Louise with pressed steel tank.
