I have bought a Swiss army 2 burner stove and am looking for the cooking pot and stand to use with it. Any help would be appreciated
We call those BVBs for Benzin ver brenner. [Gas burner]. BernieDawg published an English translation of the operators' manual. There's a Swiss surplus store www.Green-Store.ch that is the best bet for sourcing BvB gear. I haven't been able to get an order complete with them, however. I can't get past the $75 airfreight shipping charge on a $3 mess tin. I think they still hate Americans for accidently bombing some of their border towns in WWII. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Should anyone need the proper cook set/windscreen setup, please check out "go-surplus" on FleaBay. Got them for around $25, plus shipping. It's a five gallon, massive cooking container, and a proprietary windscreen/pot stand. I'm checking out a stainless steel oil drip pan for underneath my own Swiss Behemoth and windscreen!! Contact them, and ask if they have the cook pot and stand. They may well be able to help you!
Still looking for the stand and a pot, the company did not have any, does any one have a stand to take measurements off as I have found a metal worker who may help in the stand. the alternative is a set of bricks to support the cooking vessel
A quick Update, went on the Swiss army surplus site and they have some, on order and hopefully arrive for Christmas
They arrived after Christmas, only issue with the company they did not supply tracking information despite being asked, only found out they were in the UK when i recieved a customs charge, end of moan. Got them in the garden at the weekend, I do like the way they can stack together just need to find a cook book to go with them. Only question i have is when do i fettle the burner?
@Surveyor Good for you for giving an update. Better yet, a happy ending! Heck of a set-up. I’d be interested to hear how you get on with the stove fettling. I’m not sure if you’re referring to a need for a repair or just routine servicing/maintenance. John
John I suspect that after reading the manual for the burner it will be routine maintenance, the manual has a section on decommissioning these for storage, most likely replacing of washers etc, said fettle just in case need more work on it. I did the update as it always annoys me that you are following a thread, and then it stops without a conclusion, yes I know this took a while but got there. Which does remind me have to update another thread this weekend
Yes when i looked back in April they had nothing was reviewing threads and saw the link and they had some, only Issue i had with the company was that after i bought them despite asking they never responded to me recieving a tracking number, only knew they were in the UK when asked to pay customs. Strangley when asking them if there was a cook book for the stove they responded quickly.
That's good. I haven't been able to penetrate their German-based customer service. Also their shipping rate to the US was $75 USD, even for $3 mess tin. By contrast, Finnish surplus outfitters, Verusteleka go out of their way with a $9.99 flat shipping rate, to accomodate American buyers. So I finally got a Swiss Mess Tin for $17 from Helsinki, with other items, and $9.99 shipping.
Verusteleka Yes i had seen that site when looking, forgot about it till now and thanks for reminding me. The price I paid plus customs which I was not thinking of I felt was a good deal, especially as i bought 2 stands instead of one, LoL
Re. Varusteleka - they offer flat rate shipping to the UK at £6.39 (a heck of a lot cheaper than I've been offered by traders based in Germany).
