    Hello!
Does someone know if the modern mini pumps available on ebay from Taiwan, Korea etc. advertised for Optimus 8R fit directly on a Tourist PT-1.

Some sellers make these specifically for PT-1 and PT-2.

I just checked with mine to be sure, and they are not interchangeable. I also checked to see if the Optimus mini pump fits onto the fuel cap for the PT-1. Again, the answer is no.

I know that some folks like to use a mini pump with an Optimus 8R stove, but (IMHO) it's really almost more trouble than it's worth. These stove are easy to start with a simple prime of white gas or meths, and the pump (to me, anyway) just gets in the way.

    Winter stove...
    PT-1 in winter
    ----------------
idea to convert self pressure stove to pre pressurised - could be unsafe - but if is needed could be realised...
    but must be needed...
real possibilities of "normal/working condision" PT-1 are good enough for wide range of tasks
in cold/wind weather - tank temperature is the main factor to build proper preasure
