Found this mystery self pressurising burner at a second hand market. No idea of manufacturer, homemade? No markings, missing cap 20210217_190814.jpg 20210217_190824.jpg 20210217_190838.jpg 20210217_190831.jpg 20210217_191225.jpg

Alcohol gravity feed not pressurized. Looks to belong in a case

    @Kall399
    "news" ,
more news, not really bad news and
    some not really good news...

News: I'm comfortable saying the most likely model is not one that comes in a tin/case.
A main piece missing that is referred to as it's frame or base or ?... or maybe geeves refers to the frame as a case?
I expect this is the type of stove
    desca.jpg

domestic / portable alcohol, table top. This one is a Desca, excellent and among the most well known.
"I think" it's in the gravity-fed category? Many gravity fed tanks sit much higher but yours, although much lower, still has fuel level above the fuel supply line, gravity will feed alcohol to the burner.

    More news:
Your knob, your burner and the priming vaporizing method (lowest of the tubes with line of holes in it) <-- this combination of unique details WILL assist to make a positive ID.
To me anyway, yours appears to be of higher quality, among alcohol table top units.

    some not really good news.
It is not a Desca and pretty sure it's not a Norma. I wish you and others well in identifying it. I too will like to learn who made it. I have no idea of who made it or where (general origin) or when ? (1920-1970s , others can narrow that i'm sure)

Norma type stove, take out screw, it has a wick in it , under tank,

stand corrected, it could be a turn 38 variant

The paint is missing from the tank but everything else seems the same... Maybe a clone or as said other model perhaps

I filled the stove up with some fuel and no leaks!:D After that I soldered some nails as feet for the tank and tested and it works! 20210227_234745.jpg 20210227_234551.jpg
I assume the lower flame is supposed to be there to vaporise the fuel? It works unexpectedly well tank is preetty rusty on the inside but some phosphoric acid will clear that up no problem. Now to build a pot holder...

Here is a short video of it running

I use my turm 38, most days, for frying me eggs and bacon, out of all the types of stoves, I find these in most cases the best to use, one type of fuel
