I am a great fan of the Monitor stoves, and the 17B in particular. I used to buy them for burner bits and consequently I have several spare tanks. However now I can make lipsticks and burners (all documented in the fettling forum) I can now resurrect these spare tanks into working stoves. This is my latest with home made lipstick, burner bell and flame plate.

The flame plate was inspired by the post here by @presscall .

Very nice... Good to see what can be done by talented folk...

I like my Monitor 96,,, like it a lot... At some point, and I’m always watching, I’d like to find a nice pint sized Monitor to go with it.

Hi, I agree about Monitor stoves, well made & reliable. Your restoration is really Good, a very nice lipstick, a burner bell one would think was original (so good)
& the flame spreader STAR, nice touch, &
flame pattern. For approval I am sorry I
just have two thumbs, your restore deserves more. Optimust.
