Well, I do like my Soto Muka, but would like it to also handled gas. I have the fuelhose connector as a spare and was thinking solder or thread to the gas regulator that I got from a Trangia gas adapter. Any suggestions would be nice. Let meknow what you think ?
I have tried my Soto Muka on a propane/butane mixture (25/75) using the gas valve supplied with my Soto StormBreaker stove. It worked quite well. Please bear in mind that five seconds after lighting, the gas container should be inverted so liquid feeds the stove. This helps extend the life of the generator tube. The reverse applies when shutting down. Cheers Simon Foxxx
Well, I did try getting that gas valve for the Stormbreaker, but have not been able to get one. They dont sell them as spares!

I constructed a connector from a valve such as you have, aluminium disc component removed to take the heat of silbrazing it to a part from a Campingaz valve, and with a stainless steel wire loop device to invert the gas cart. Additionally, I made use of a spare Muka hose and a spare jet drilled out to 0.45mm to get the most out of the isobutane fuel. THIS project.
I silbraze for mechanical strength and not just to cope with burner heat but with a valve that obviously doesn’t get hot and a soldered joint unlikely to degrade and weaken I don’t see why solder wouldn’t do the job.
