Very well done. I think the patch repair is the only truly viable fix for a stress cracked tank. After staring at the one picture for several minutes I finally realized you used bobby pins (hair pins) to clamp the patch in place for soldering, how clever. I need to throw a few in the tool box.
In order to separate the tank, I bought three blowtorches in 2020. 5 GBP I learned a lot from this website Thank you everyone! I made a cup of coffee to celebrate.
