Hello, found this beauty a few days ago. Somebody used it a very little. But it is still in near mint condition. Hope you like it. Joachim
Hi @Assel . What a beautiful stove outfit! The case is wonderfully coloured. Please tell us if there is a printer’s date code on the instructions. Best Regards, Kerophile.
What a clean looking kit! It’s surprising how those type stoves are still out there in that condition. Very nice find. ivan
Hi @Assel I reckon your stove dates from the early 1950s so around 70 years old! Optimus No.80 from the early 1950's The instruction sheet includes the Optimus No.8 which was replaced by the Op.8R around about this time. It is remarkable that your Op.80 has survived so well. Best Regards, Kerophile.
Thank you for your reply. Yes, it's amazing that it's in such good shape. Here I have the print code from the instruction paper. Makes it any sense about the date? BR Joachim
Thank you. This is an excellent complete example, the version of instructions is a "1 & only", it all makes for an enlightening reference post. Learning more re No. 80 dating is a work in progress. This example gives us/me more to think about, it has added to dating discussion here. thx again
Hello, Mark asked for some more fotos for dating these stoves. Here are some new. The firsts are showing the "shoulder" of the tank... BR Joachim
