I just found this stove in my fathers basement, it comes from my grandfather and was probably used in the 1920/30s. There is no markings on the stove or the box. The small fuel bottle is marked with "Sievert" and the small nozzle pricker is marked with "Radius". Any information about this stove would be great! Is it possible to date these stoves?
WELCOME Jan, Thank you for posting it. As well as the spirit bottle the burner says SVEA (aka Sievert). It's impressive and is looking like it is a Sievert model. If knob slides off, the entire "works" may lift out of the case. If so you will have to look very closely at tank before saying for sure there is no markings on it. IF the tank has no markings (i think it will), then, this would be a bit mysterious imo, as "Sievert/SVEA" is typically found on their tanks etc.
I thought the SVEA mark was just a short for Sweden The knob is stuck, can't turn it or pull it out. The tank is secured with 3 screws that also are stuck. Will update once I'm able to loosen them and can inspect the bottom of the tank!
This was already solved, someone had suggested Campus but deleted the reply. It is a Campus, a more rare early Campus 2. I looked at later Campus 4 & 5 in gallery and went to catalogs looking for your burner and found the No.2. (now as i type, i see Enrique has it right) No need to disassemble just yet. re markings on the tank, credit member pinky re early Campus No.2 "I was surprised to see that the tank and cap have no engravings at all." source CONGRATS !! nice stove

That style of burner valves use to get stuck when they are not used for a long time - very often they will work fine if you first oil the spindle, then heat the burner jet area until the oil on spindle start to boil, then open and close the valve several times and oiling the spindle during cooling time.

Thanks for all the replies and information I've gotten! This site is awesome My father suggested to soak the bottom of the stove in diesel to loosen up the screws.. is this a good way to go? Could I soak the entire stove this way? PS This site should come with a warning sign... The collection of stoves is highly addictive! Upon learning more about the stove I found, I started looking through ads for stoves and ended up buying one HV Standard no 41 and a Radius no 21 stove They are both in bad condition so I will make a new post with pictures and ask for some fettling advice for them as well!
