Primus optimus no. 5s or.

The lastest stove is a no. 5s or where is it stamped?

 

No dating on Optimus stoves, just a range of time depending on features.

So how do I date my stoves?

 

Post some pictures showing features of the stove. Some Optimus features changed over the years such as tank stamping, fillcap style, The tightness of the bend of the pan ring supports and the pan ring itself. Even outer burner cap stamping, inner burner cap with the holes or not all can help date the stove.

We have people here that are experts at spotting small differences and giving accurate dates.

Well, that's a Primus so the dating is no problem: the bottom stamp indicates 1951. I thought you were looking to place an Optimus 5S. If so, I can help if you can post some photos, Peter
