Optimus 00 fettled back into operation after sitting around for years. Impressed by the simplicity of these. This is the end of my progress to date.

Preparing to cook up my morning dose of porridge… The stove is a Coleman 500, dated B/1950… The lantern, keeping the stove company, is Coleman 220, dated A/1950… Three 71 year-olds,,, spending a little more time together, and enjoying each other’s company…

Daughter #4 dropped by with this last evening… A local seller and all but free for hauling…

Fired right up with the gas that was in it…

 

Boy, that one must have been stored in a warm, dry place....a beauty.

 

Looks almost like it was lit a time or two, and then packed away…

 

Not bad for a 111-year-old stove…

Fantastic! Welcome to CCS.

 

Not a proper flame shot, but a busy Primus No. 3. Heating up a galvy bucket of water with a five litre container of thick sticky underseal. The resultant gloop seen spread over the upturned chassis - two coats!
