Ive searched everywhere for info on this stove, and come up empty. Cant even find a single mention of Gillette the company on this site. Seeing if anyone has ever encountered this one. Trying to determine if its worth buying and restoring. Looks 1950s art decom style to me but guessing propane hookup means its newer than that....

If you get it, I'd be sure it's propane and not natural gas before connecting propane and firing it up. There's a major difference in the pressures between the two gases.

That looks more like a natural gas fitting. Maybe a 50s update of one of these?

Could be- thats what I was starting to think given the 3/8 fitting. Ive hooked natural gas up to a propane grill before and its not going to hurt anything just wont get hot enough but definitely wouldnt want to go the other way. The windscreen is the only reason I think it still may be a camp stove. Strange accessory for something indoors. The whole unit looks like a vintage Airstream trailer.....

Thinking out loud- the windscreen could actually be a splatter guard......

Not if you have the regulator on the tank connection - then you've got no problems.

I have an old cent-a-meal stove just like the one pictured. Also have the aluminum grill for that stove. It is propane, that stove will need a regulator on it and then it will be good to go. Near as I can date mine is late 40's, early 50's. I saw one on a vintage teardrop trailer in a museum video on youtube, "worlds smallest airstream". They are great stoves, my folks had the one I now have, I grew up camping with them and that stove. I'm 74.
