This Enders 9061D has been fired only once, by the seller-to-me, to see if it worked. It does.

    Nice one Tony!
(Burner top works great as a silent burner on Optimus 8 and 99).

It seems to be a rebuilt one, at list the case could veve been repainted
if I remembre correctly the slider riveted to the base of the case should be not painted, and two rivets holding the hinge are a bit different from the other,
Anyway, rebuilt or not, conditions ere really stuning for a 50 year. Factory rebuilt?

The military version is 9061, without D. This one is beautiful and in perfect condition, but it is refurbished. The rivets are not original, also the brass parts by 9061 is nickle grey.

Thanks, Luke. It must have been refurbished before entering Australia, as this is condition it was in when bought by the previous owner.

All of the burner unit components look virtually unused, so I wonder if it was shelf stock put in a used, refurbished tin… :-k.

    Cheers

    Tony
