My favorite setup now is MSR Dragonfly burner inside Trangia 25, with additional windshield heights of 30 cm to protect it from strong wind.
Mountains in Indonesia, often have storm or a very strong wind.
So for myself it was anxious to see flame bursts wildly while on the wilderness.

    (1) I'm afraid that the flame can catch to tree roots or grass or tent, causing wildfire. Trangia windshield help isolating the flame.
    (2) I can cook with more stabile flame, I can simmer without being put down by wind.
    (3) Trangia system also act as an oven. I love to bake, especially bread, muffin, pizza. Luxurious meals on 10000++ feet A.S.L.
    (4) I still can cook under the rain on storm weather.

Also I observed that my Trangia system begins to deformed, my prejudice that it was caused by the very high heat from this setup/mod.
I guess the Trangia (25) Hard Anodized windshield version may have stronger properties than plain aluminum. Anodizing my Trangia system is currently on my to-do list.

Another thought comes to my mind is that, making a Trangia25-like windshield from titanium pots.

I forgot to mention, what I'm trying to say, that working with easily ignited fuel is quite dangerous. My experience running thinner on MSR Dragonfly was shocking, the flame was quickly flashes from the stove to my left hand to my neck. I guess some fuel must have been left on my shirt accidentally. I also found the smells of my burnt beard, LOL. I was lucky it didn't catch on my eyebrows LOL.

    As to the OP.
I let the MSR stove go put after turning it off.
Then I blow out the flame.
Turn the whole stove over and let the air out, that clears the line.
    Disassemble as needed.
