Yes 8R and 111 share the same jet size and thread. You just need to make certain you have the right fuel orifice for your stove. As for the cleaning needle they are the same.
recap maybe Q. "Is the jet and needle the same for the Optimus R8 and Optimus 111" A. "8R and 111 share the same jet size and thread." ok the rest i'm less clear on: " You just need to make certain you have the right fuel orifice for your stove." ??? ok ??? " As for the cleaning needle they are the same. " Hmmm, did not know that. Tom, you can see in catalogs, the 2 do use the same spindle (engages both cleaning needle PNs) but 72 catalog for …...….8R and 111 ./ 111B shows jet, nipple: ...…..No.238 and 236 / 236G cleaning needle No. 334 and 333 / 333 As per catalog they differ. I included PNs for 3 models above: 8R & 111B white gas 111 kero
What I meant by having the same fuel orifice is that if you have an 8R and put a kerosene jet it will not be good. Same is if you put a gasoline jet in a 111 kero burner.
