Well done. that's an impressive haul. I'll have to pay attention during garage sales to see if there are any stove gems. I used to look for old cameras and interesting old bikes. Often I left without anything, though.
@Gun papa re your: This is MSR marked on the valve dial, but I am not sure what it hooks up to? Should we presume there is a stove/burner at the other end of the hose that you're not showing us? If yes the only such MSR stove i'm aware of would be: MSR Rapid Fire ------------------------- So you like Windsor bike, I hadn't heard of them until you showed us. If it is convenient, can you share the head badge/logo? or a closer look at the head tube's chrome lugged frame detail. It looks really nice.
Looks like it connects to a standard EN417 butane canister. Stove looks like it's on top of the white bag on the right in your first photo?
Howdy, @Gun papa , Excellent finds in your yard sale adventures! And, that Windsor bike is just like mine, which I bought back in the early 1970's. Mine is blue, and like you, I found it to be a fantastic bike, and very easy to pedal. Mine needs a tune-up, as it's been in storage for over 25 years, due to the steep streets in our little mountain Village. Great bike, though, and one of my favorites! Congrats on the other goodies from your yard sale trip! A great haul, no matter how you slice it! Thanks for sharing, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
Howdy, @Gun papa , Yep, that looks like an MSR Rapidfire. As long as the 0-rings are in place in the valve, screw the valve onto a proper MSR cartridge, and enjoy using it! Sweet Bride and I love that model, and have used two of them on camping trips in the past. Easy to use, powerful, and simmer very well, too, these little Beasties are excellent stoves, and well worth using and enjoying! Congrats on a find haul! Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc PS - you will need to get and use an MSR windscreen on the Rapidfire. No worries there, though, as those aluminum screens are inexpensive, and easy to find. Or, you can improvise a folding aluminum windscreen, if that trips your trigger. Easy peasy! At a past CASG event, we used two Rapidfire stoves for some of our cooking, and they worked great! You can see how the MSR windscreens work with those stoves, in this pic.
I was pretty fortunate to find the Windsor. As you can see, it's a very large frame, probably a 23 inch. I am tall and actually raised the seat a bunch too. There is no badging.
