Welcome to CCS. Good old workhorse, the 533. Great to start with keroburners. You've come to the right place.

I have a truck gun, a truck survival kit, a truck tool kit but not a truck stove but after reading this post I think its time I get one. The problem is choosing one I don't mind getting banged up riding around with me

Something small like this might come in handy.

Optimus 22b. because it’s a little bigger and stable. Easy to use on the tailgate of my old 4Runner

Daryl, I really like that setup.

Anyone have a spare 502 cooking tin they'd part with? Sell or trade?

Here we go, truck stove kit, in use at a family gathering.

Many thanks to @HunterStovie for the gift of a 502 cooking tin.

Instant Cafe Bustelo and Clipper lighter on the recommendation of @snwcmpr, both quite good. Note: Don't try the normal brew Cafe Bustelo. We did, shudder.

Might still add a collapsible pour over, and cup.

That’s a pretty nifty setup @Daryl … Had to run out to the plunder piles and see if I still had. 501 cookset or two, and one of those small gas canister type lanterns… We have several of those UCO lanterns around too,,, holdovers from before LUCI Lights…

    Luck! New new lantern and a never used 501 cookset; yard-sale finds… It’s a start…

It’s an AGM iron,,, everything is free on it, and even the pump works… Just something that caught my eye… Never tried to fuel it and light it… Just a neat bit of history… 9F6415EE-1868-4389-B388-FF821202E5CC.jpeg 5BC8A375-4D7C-40DE-B726-56910C360323.jpeg 78723A95-31A4-45DB-9B18-E8DB40290852.jpeg B42B2277-F90D-45BB-B550-2572087B5799.jpeg

Optimus 111b is always in there. Along with my kettle, water, tea and cups. If planning on spending the day away from home my get home bag goes along also for the ride and I keep my Optimus 8r along with MRE's and teas. The 111 really takes up too much room in my pack for me. Sacrifices must be made. Just how I roll.
